As always, I have some level of anxiety right before a trip like this. As much as I love being with the kids and seeing the sights in the amazing city of Bogotá, I still get nervous the night before I leave! I have a checklist a mile long of all the things I need to make sure I have - but I figure as long as I have my passport, some cash, my camera, and a clean pair of undies I'm good to go!
At this point, everything is packed except my camera - because the battery is still charging. I actually packed relatively quickly after I spent most of my day on a wild goose chase after a new wheeled duffel bag. Thank goodness for the 50% off luggage sale at Macy's, otherwise I'd be checking a bunch of Hefty bags at LaGuardia tomorrow!
If all goes as planned, we should be taking off from New York around noon tomorrow, and hitting the ground in Bogotá around 8:40 pm after a short layover in Miami.
I am hoping to keep this updated as I go - last time I was there the wifi wasn't so hot, but I'm hoping they've got the bugs worked out by now!
