We arrived in Parma from Venice and very quickly realised it was a much more "normal" city. Not really geared for tourists. There were some lovely buildings and a couple of beautiful parks where we killed some time sitting in the sun.

Had a yummy traditional "parmagiana" meal - yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Were VERY happy to stumble across a book shop that sold english books as I (mare) had just finished the last book i had and was quite worried i'd go insane with nothing to read on the next few train trips!!
