On arriving in Venice we realized we'd thrown out the piece of paper with the address of our hotel on it!! After walking around the general area for a bit our life saver Emily looked it up online for us ... we had a once bedroom apartment for 5 nights and it was great!! Stove, oven, fridge and a couch. And it was nice to have the bedroom in a separate room!!! Were able to eat cheaply and healthily as we cooked most nights.

Loved the city of Venice. We did all our touristy stuff on foot - €50 for a gondola ride just didn't seem worth it!! We walked and walked and walked for 4 days - by the end we'd left the map behind. So many pretty views around the town, so many fun little shops to look in.

I (mare) had the first coffee i've ever enjoyed - monumental according to Shell and Gen!
