Loving Cologne despite the rain drizling at times! Arrived yesterday afternoon and checked out the mall (which went on for miles!), there are bread shops every 2 secs that have the most attractive looking pasteries & pretzels (not sure on the spelling), trying to be good but a girl has to splurge occasionally!

Today was exciting for me as we visited the chocolate museum (turned out to be lindt, but also had other types), i felt like i was in charlie and the chocolate factory, and the smell was amazing! hmmmmmm Treated ourselves to a hot chocolate, which yes you read correct, i was unable to finish!! it was so rich, but extremely enjoyable!

There is an amazing cathedral called the Dom, its huge! tried to take photos but it just doesnt do justice, will film it tomorrow to show just how big it is. Also walked along part of the river rhein (much cleaner then i thought it would be).

Cologne is tiny compared to Berlin, but thats what i like about it. I cant describe it, but it has a much warmer feel to it (despite the fact its freezing outside). The people are also alot friendlier (and dont mouth TOURIST! when you make them move out of the way because fo your backpack!).

Hope you are both feeling better. Is Chelle's pace of flat out too much for you Mare? Make the most of your trip and taste those chochies and pastries. You will walk it off. Not much news on the home front so this will be a quick message. No luck with the Melbourne Cup but won the prize for my 'pink chook' headgear! Stay well and keep having a great time. Luv and miss you. xoxo untill next time.
