Hi all,

We landed in London on tuesday after a very very long flight, not sure if my butt and back will forgive me!

London put on an english day when we arrived - raining and cold, but the following 3 days have been sunny and quite beautiful. Did the norm, buckingham palace, trafalgar square, parliament and westminster abbey, and did a trip down to greenwich which was beautiful! Also gained some culture by seeing les miserables on the west end.

Picked a car up from Fulham and drove to Lincoln (navigating out of london completely successfully to our surprise), mind you we still dont know the speed limits as there are no signs!! so fingers crossed we havent been booked.

Spent a night in Lincoln and checked out their cathedral which was enormous, drove the next day to Durham via York where we checked out the york minster and a disappointing castle. It was tiny! Durham was a cute little town, again the cathedral was magnificent.

We have driven today from Durham to Edinburgh and have just checked in to our first dorm experience (worried our stuff will be stolen as no where to lock up our luggage).

Will write again soon, love to all,

shell & mare

news from mum and dad
Sounds like u r both enjoying your trip so far and I'm sure it will only get better. It has been busy here. Kim and Cameron's wedding was lovely. Kim looked beautiful and could'nt wipe the smile of her face. Kye was gorgeous. Is growing up so fast. They r a lovely family. Josh cried (losing his big sister & playmate was too much for him!). Dad booked us into the dingiest accommodation in Sydney!! Deb & Pete had a sleepless night with people coming and going all night in the room next to them. Spent Sat morning on Curts jetboat sightseeing the waterways around Yowie Bay. Some people have a lot of money! Called to see Nan. Not a happy chappy. Told me to shut up and to leave. So we did. Looked after Jaime all night. Mike & Dani r giving it another go. Don't know how it will go but they r trying. Mike got the managers job which he is pretty chuffed about. Kate and dad played golf and I attempted to recover. Went to see nan again this morning. She was in a better mood but didn't know who I was. I then drove to Tuggs and did some shopping. If I had'nt have had cruise control dad would have had to catch the train down and bring me back. Am totally exhausted but got what I went for. Matt now only has two weeks left before he finishes uni. Not sure when he will be home. Keep having the time of your life and I'll let dad add some news. Luv you both - Mum xoxo Well I don't have much to tell as I lead a boring life but still get blamed for booking into sleezy hotels. I slept quite soundly! Kev has been sick again and is spending some time in Toronto private hospital. Dad and Pam are at Hat Head again. Dean, Phil, Mike and I are going fishing on Stockton beach overnight this coming weekend so might have something worth talking about after that. Have you finished your book yet? Did you know that Kim and Cam had a Krispy Cream Donut wedding cake? Quite a surprise! Hope all is well...dad.

Thanks for the fabulous video. It was so nice to see you faces and hear you speaking. Next video, can I suggest you play the thing on you both and talk about everything you did since the last video.
I hope I am able to make this work.
Mare you would be proud of me. I managed to get a dvd player and after three hours of fiddling and trying I finally connected everything up the right way and it is working.I even managed to teach Daddy how to work all the remotes which we have racked up on the table (ridiculous!).
We have had some rain.......yippeeee!! and more expected. So nice.
Looking forward to hearing more of Glasgow. Aren't the Scotts nice people.
Then to Dublin....please, please please look out for the maniacs on the roads. You only have four nights there and you are covering a hug amount of miles so take care. I am extremely impressed that you managed to get out of London by car.Liked the photo of Rachelle on Birdcage walk. Must get going and I hope this works. Lots of love Mumma and Mickeyxx

thanks
your video of Rachelle and Edinburgh is fabulous!! thanks so much. Nice to be able to 'walk' the trip with you this way...very clever.
I have a feeling you girls might even return to Scotland but the weather will close in and I recall Gen being stuck in some town near Glasgow as the roads were blocked by snow and ice and horrible winds.
Keep them coming girls...we love it.

Lots of love

Mummy xx
