...to visit mummy (you read it right and yeah I spelled it right, that's the aussie term for a mom) Jenny and baby Alisa. Jenny is one of our ex-colleagues in Manila and I met her first on my work assignment in London years ago.
I met up with Reymund a.k.a. Mon at the North Sydney station. It's Thursday night so it's good that a lot of the shops are still open for we're thinking of getting something for Jenny along the way. We thought about a fruit basket so we passed by this fruit shop near the station. Unfortunately, one of the checkout chicks told us that they couldn't make it anymore for us because it's already late. We ended up getting fresh flowers instead.
Mon was so excited to tell me that he bought a new car and he's getting it in a few weeks time. If only I'm not planning to travel overseas again, I might be getting one too but it's not a priority for now.
It's been raining outside so we took a cab to the Mater Hospital. It's a small private hospital and Mon commented that it feels like and smells like more of an airport to him than a hospital. Maybe because he's traveling a lot lately. We finally saw Jenny and baby Alisa. We also saw there Dave and Jenny's mum. The baby was so cute and we chatted with Jenny for a while. It's good to see her so healthy and strong again even if it's only after a day of giving birth.
