After spending the last week or so in Pori, I decided to venture further afield and head to the Åland Islands. They`re the group of Islands between Finland and Sweden - technically part of Finland, but they speak mainly Swedish here. The main city - Mariehamn is quite small, so after a quick city tour I rented a bicycle and headed north. I went to a small place called Bästo and stayed in the hotel there for the night. It was about a 30 km ride, but nice - quite scenic and not too many hills - thank goodness! There was a surprising amount of traffic, I thought (a car would pass every 5 min or so, lol), but to was quite reassuring to know that there were people around should I get lost or break my bike ;)

Now I´m back in Marienhamn, after braving the 30km back on a slightly different route, and am hoping to take the overnight ferry back to mainland Finland. First things first though - I´m goingto find some dinner, and maybe a delicious drink of some sort ;)
