Christmas in Sweden!
Not long after he landed in London Daniel and I took off for a week in Sweden. It was snowing when we arrived at the Stockholm airport, but it didn't last long. There was snow on the ground for most of the week but more and more disappeared each day - not quite the white Christmas I had imagined, but it was also not as cold as I feared.
The week was full of family visits and wonderful food. We were absolutely spoiled with all the delicious treats that were available for every meal. The wonderful breads and cheeses, rice pudding, sausages, cookies and many other Scandinavian delights filled the table of every home we went to.
Helena was the kind host on Christmas Eve - lucky for us, as Santa arrived just after dinner and we all received some lovely presents. Liselott hosted the next night - a quiet dinner with her and Kennet at their new place, where we got to try out their fantastic new sauna.Heavenly!
We spent time with Johan at his new home and Kristofer & Stina at theirs - seems everyone has a new place!! There was also pizza with Simon and Robin, and shopping in Vasteras with Linn and Elin. Good times all around and the week flew by... soon we were in the car on the way back to the airport and I'd barely had a chance to see if my Swedish lessons had been any help ;)
Thank you to all the Linder family and friends for a wonderful Christmas holiday!
