We went to this beautiful Medieval town for three reasons, one it was meant to be beautiful, two there was no camp site nearby and Chris thought it was a potential business opportunity! And three a lot of fighting had taken place, nearby, in WW2 and there was meant to be a lot of Russian tanks and planes on the side of the road.
We had a lovely tour of the town that is really well maintained and had a look at the spa baths nearby. Then we headed off to find somewhere to spend the night. We had to drive 60km to find a local campsite by the side of a beautiful lake. The facilities were non-existent but the lake was fantastic. We had the best sunset views and even managed to get a couple of beers to enjoy it with. I was nervous of drinking too much, as I has seen the so called bathrooms! The next morning we headed off, without a shower (simply because there weren't any!) to find the tanks.
There were indeed old Russian airplanes, rocket launchers, tanks and trucks all left over from the war. We wandered around, taking pictures and having a good old poke around before heading back to civilisation.
