We were in the beautiful town of Valkenburg, which is the hilly part of the Netherlands. It has lovely countryside, great cycling and lots of castles. Unfortunately due to the torrential weather we couldn't do much more than explore the town center and have a couple of beers. They apparently have Christmas markets here in the caves that out hollowed out of the soft limestone type hills. This is some where to come back to when it has finally stopped raining!
