After I wrote my last entry on the Friday nothing much happened that day, I weren't hung over from the game or anything it was more a matter of how cash I managed to piss up the wall during the game, which was a substantial amount that I don't want to write down becuase it depresses me!
As a result me and Lenny had a pasta and beans on toast day to cut down on costs and stayed in the hostel that evening to save on cash and watched the football in the room.
The following morning I woke up in a decent mood and felt completely refreshed, Lenny on the other hand had for some reason woke up in a bit of a stinker and I could tell it was going to be a matter of time before somthing or someone pushed him over the edge. I went down to make my breakfas and heard a load of comotion upstairs, I thought nothing of it. But when I went back upstairs it turns out that Lenny had been evicted for calling the landlady an "alcoholic slut whore", to be fair to him though she was always on his back about leaving the room in a bit of a mess and she has had it coming for a long time. As a result of this Lenny had to move to Bunk hostel and I give him a hand to move all his stuff. As we were leaving the hostel the "slut whore" came out to give Lenny his key deposit back, there was a stand off over who gave back the money or the key first until she said "fine keep your fucking key". It was at this point that I think the red mist descended over Lennys eyes, which resulted him giving her the biggest barrage of abuse I've ever witnessed in my life. I was almost crying from his shouting and none of it was even directed at me!
We moved all his stuff over to the hostel and kept ourselves amused for the rest of the day by reminding ourselves of some of the abusive comments that he'd earlier directed at "slut whore". For some reason slut whore hasn't got a problem of me so I'm still in the same digs sharing with an sound Irish guy called Alex and a mental Aussie Kid who dresses up as a super hero to go to work where he constructs hearing aids. I stayed in again that night and watched the footy in the room.
I met up with Si and lenny again on Sunday morning who for some reason had both had enough of Bunk and were in the process of moving over to a hostel nearer me called the Prince Consort, which is conveniently located just above a pub. I spent the day dossing in their hostel as they've got a free pool table. That night we went out for a massive chinese, which makes me feel sick thinking about the amount of food I managed to get down. For some reason we then ended up having a bit of a session over at the bar at Bunk and the pub under their hostel. I managed to walk the road full of drunks and abbo smack heads unscathed and got a good night sleep in.
Monday was a chilled out day and I managed to chill out before my mom and arrived down from Cairns late afternoon. After finding their hotel room I was once again hugged by mom to the point of turning blue in the face from not being able to breathe. We got the train over to Fortitude valley, which is the area where I'm living and went for some pub grub. Beofre that though my old man had a bit to much to drink and for some reason decided he'd show his dedication to Birmingham City Fc by chalking the end of his nose blue(see the photo). My mom and dad got a chance to meet Si and lenny, who got treated to a beer and then they left us to our own devices, which again ended up as a session on the Jim Beams. We had a good laugh and crawled back at 2am.
I made a school boy error by arrainging to meet my mom and dad at 9am, it felt wierd to be up at 8 in the morning but its something I'm going to have to start getting used to. We went for some brekkie and then got the train over to meet some distant relatives who I don't understand how I'm realted to them at all. The main relatives name in question was Molly who is at the tender age of 90, we were picked up by her daughter called Pauline whose 70 and were taken on a hell raising journey over to where they lived in what can only be described as a hippie wagon. We were taken on a tour of the local area, which was nice apart from the fact it pissed it down for most of it. When we finally got to their house the conversations were completely over my head so kindly laughed and nodded my head every time my dad did, which seemed to do the trick! It was good to see them though. I had to cut the reunion short as I had an interview with a telesales company selling Telstra, I landed the job and am starting my training tommorow. I'm going to stick with this for a good few weeks regardless of how shit the work is because I need to get some normality back in my life for a while to see if I still can do it. The moneys good and if you can make the sales you can make a small fortune, but I'm not holding my breath.
After the interview I was reunited with Moss Side Mike, gaz and his sister. We went for a quick bite to eat and caught up on what they'd been doing up the coast. I then went over to meet my mom and dad again to get treated to another meal, I stayed off the beer as the England game didn't kick off till 5am this morning. I then went and watch a film with them and got back to my hostel a about 11 last night. I'd heard rumours that the game was only been shown a delay at 7am, this was later confirmed by a few mates. I abandoned my plans of getting wrecked as I didn't think that I'd be able to last till 7am. On the off chance I set my alarm for 4.55am and the aussie twats were showing the game! I was a bit pissed off but still glad I got to see the game live. I thought we played really well in the first half, what a suprise about Owen going down injured and what the hells he doing starting Hargreaves instead of Carrick? I can't beleive how badly they played defensively in the second half and to let an ex scumbag(Allback) score against them shows just how badly they defended. Anyway, at least we've avoided the crouts for the time being.
I'm taking it easy today so I can stay in tip top form for my job tommorow and am meeting up with the parents in a bit for another excursion.
