Must explain the frogger title~well the people around here are very fast drivers ,who act like they are in a huge hurry!!
! Crossing the street ( using the cross walk even ) is like a game of frogger! They beep their horns constantly at you???for crossing the street on the cross walk.I find it very stressful as I always thought crossing on the cross walk was a fairly safe thing t o do .NOT ......lol...crossing the street here is very dangerous.believe me ! Just like to mention some interesting observations ,about our first visit to Lima. :)
Eggs are in the isle when you pay ,not in a fridge~police or security at the doorways of stores, grocery stores.~beggars who fake having a baby under a blanket to get more money~using a 3 year old child to beg for money ~drivers honk basically all the time for.... ?.... reason while driving.Car alarms going off constantly..very,very loud.My kids observed PDA~public display of affection going on frequently ,every where .High, high heels being wore by females everywhere, and able to walk on them very fast.Ha ha ha. It is awesome to see other cultures! :)
First 2 days just roaming around the city, loved it !!! Third day we took a tour to the Pachacamac ruins
, it is the beginning to understanding some of the ancient civilizations in Peru, Inca being the most predominant
. Some parts of the site date back to 200 AD, you can only imagine how grandiose this community of temples was. Much like other ancient civilizations, the the spiritual leaders would use lots of drugs to speak with the almighty god, and sacrifice young beautiful woman, to please their god. (this would of course ensure that they would have an abundant year of crops and helthy fertile livestock) This of course would be considered an honour for the women and their families. Wow !! This was our first peek into Peru's amazing history.
