Waitomo's a cute little place, set up especially for tourism around the caves in the area, which have incredible glow worm populations, which are beautiful to see. We paid for a tour since you can't officially get into the caves otherwise, although Nicky and Jules and Kerry managed to stumble into a cave that you're not supposed to be in while on a walk the day before!

The tour was cool enough, but you only move about twenty metres in half an hour due to the pensioner tours shuffling through in front of you!

After this, the drive to Taupo!
