Hello from a wet and windy Wolverhampton, yes like most of the rest of you all, we have our share of the wet stuff,Left M/Dayton 09:30 Sunday hoping to make Weaton Aston but the wind had other ideas and progress was slow and steady and by the time we reach Gnosall Heath I was wet through and knackered and the Navigation inn looked so inviting so that was decided upon, only made twelve miles that day but never the less what a fantastic work of engineering, cuttings some fifty or sixty foot deep cut through solid rock even the floor of the navigation is cut out of rock, and the Cowley tunnel is the same only the portals are brick work.Monday 09:00 set off bound for Wheaton Acton we needed to fill up
with derv from a canal side garage, not a boat yard, but a road side garage on top of the embankment some thirty feet above the cut one hell of a fuel pipe, any way with a full tank, couple of bags of coal and some bits and bats off we went on our way to Aldersly ju nr Wolverhampton
