What a day, woke up at 9:30 instead of 8, never mind just a lil behind schedule.
Picked jess up at 10:30, updated my mp3 yet again! then went to broughton and tried on about 12 pairs of jeans.
After dropping Jess off at home, i headed home and sarah was parked up on the drive to say goodbye, so the tears were on a steady flow for a bit now! sorry hannah!!
After lots of kisses, talking and hugging sarah left, so i could carry on packing..yes i still hadnt finshed at 12am the day i was leaving..good one
after more packing and tears, dan b came round for a quick cuddle and kiss which was nice so glad i got to say goodbye
anyway....
we left mine at 4:20..how precise!
when were got closer to manchester airport, i did my usual nervous trick, shacking quite alot!
As we were a lil early, we took the opportunity to take family pictures.
Caroline came with jenny and her family, lil emotional which was to be expected.
After more hugs, kisses and tears, we left and started the journey of a life time!!!!
1st flight was madness, we had turbulance for a good hour, if not more. Plus as it was a night flight, everone was a sleep, bar me and the lady who couldnt stop being sick..and she wasnt quite bless!
they treat you like royalty :) hot lemon towels on arrival free drinks through out the flight, loads of entertainment stuff...the most recent music thats in the uk charts atm, games and current up to date films...i watched the little mermaid ;) bugs life oh and how could i forget!!! paranormal activity...i cant sleep now!
transfer from the 1st flight to the 2nd plain was fine and easy, we didnt get lost.
2nd flight was much easier, more space, double decker, me and caz loved it! the staff were soo pretty and friendly.
Headed for the 'taxi meter' taxi's, headed off to where we were staying near khosan road, and the guy said he didnt have a meter..good one. he only charger 500baht= 10pound so that was fine, compared to uk charges!!
hostel is lovely, fell up the stairs when i arrived, because i couldnt see the step due to my oversized bag. got to sleep around 11, and planned to wake at 8.

12th feb
ok so we failed on the 8 o clock start!!
got ready and walked down the street, to start the sight seeing, did about 50meters and thought it was best to get the map out, we had been stood on the corner of this path for 1min max and a local guy, came up to us and offered if he needed anyhelp, he told us where to go, how (via tuk tuk) which he got for us, told them they were to only charge 20baht or something, and also what to where when we visit the grand palace.
1st top TAT to book train tickets, internal flight from bangkok to phucket, accomodation, ferry trips and the day trip tomorrow to the floating market.which only cost 160 pounds. next stop we went to a temple, thats private. then to a munk praying area, which we saw 2 schools. we later went round the local markets and down khosan road which was packed full of travellers. some guy started talking to me wanting me to buy something and caz's grabbed me because she thought he said 'do you want a boyfriend' hahaha
tonight we went to the top floor of our hostel and went in the jacuzii! (sp)

13th feb
Having difficulty sleeping, waking up in the early hours of the morning, probably because of watching paranormal activity on the plain.
found it easy waking up, as i was a wake at 4 30!
7 o clock we were dressed and waiting in the lobby.
7 20 the minibus arrived and ken introduced himself-guide..
shortly leaving and heading out of the main city eveyone bar myself and caroline were a sleep.
arrived at the floating markets in bangkok after a hours drive. it was sureal, the colours, the market its self, the people and the weather.
it was really hot, with little shade.
people were so friendly and seemed like they loved thier lifestyle.
you could buy fruit, ornaments, fans, hats, candels, postcards etc.
after getting back on the minibus we had a 30min drive to a wooden hand craft place, which was amazing, the talent some people have is unreal. someone was carving a buddha which was atleast 7ft tall +. down to the fine art of small detail for draws or mirrors.
the next stop was to a jewellery factory, which spechialised in hand making the jewellery there and then, cutting the diamonds, jems rubys etc. to then showing them of in a large showroom full of lights to really make the jewellery glow..i loved it!
sat at the back of the minibus and made some friends :) 2 girls from eygpt- cairo. they were sooo lovely, they were on a vacation with their grandfather.
2 o clock we collected our bags from TAT
3 hours later of sleeping, reading, watching the thai army + eating we boarded the train.
we then had a 14hour train journey through the night to chaing mai.
it was an experince..
i felt really safe due to the sercurity on each carrage. the two seats, made a bed, then a bunk folded down, they provided a mattress, quilt, pillow and fresh sheats + the food and drink :)
the toilet well i dontthink i can class it as a toilet as it was more of a whole!
slept really well, woke up and watch the sun rise :D
14th feb- valentines day!
i bought english chocolate all the way from home, heart shaped with red foil, for caroline :) luckly it hadnt melted.
so we arrived in chaing mai at 9 30
the temperature-feels like a day at home during the summer, on one of those really rare hot days! but lets behounest it is only 9 30.
i guy met us at the train station, holding a sign up saying amy perter!! hahaha
he took us to the hostel which was 15 minuites away from the trainstation.
the hostel that we stayed at was called winner inn, basic but nice and friendly and 2 mins away from the town center.
spent the afternoon, around the town and at the markets.
chaing mai, is alot more peaceful than bangkok, less poluted, and really pretty!
had a mcflurry :/ we had to tho..its ice cream at the end of the day which is defo needed on a really hot day!
had a lil nap
back into town to book accomodation..stressful. computers in smaller city's are rubbish! but listening to caz screaming at the computer for bein rubbish was hilarious.
