Back on the snorkel trips today. I only have one snorkeler and on the first trip we ended up giving up because she didn't really like the fact you couldn't see the bottom for ages and we had tons of jellyfish again. She kept apologising and I was like, we can just sunbathe it's absolutely no problem! We went to Tortuga on the second trip and I told her she wasn't allowed to give up until we found a shark. The water visibility wasn't that great though and the sharks weren't even in the channel today. Luckily though I managed to find the shark ledge that I always find the sharks in and we ended up seeing about 4 or 5 including a massive one too. So I was so happy we saw them. After that we went back in because the water clarity really wasn't that good and I mean it's hard to beat sharks. I spent most of the time batting jellyfish away from her as well, there are SO many at the moment
We all went for a few drinks after work before heading home. Tonight everyone is going out and so I decided to take a quick nap before hand so I was ready to rock and roll. Unfortunately the night had other plans. I woke up and before I even looked at my phone I knew it was late, in fact it as 2:16am. Fooooook. I was so annoyed because I really had wanted to go! I think my phone and my air conditioner conspired against me because I clearly didn't wake up to my alarm and even if I had turned it off my air conditioner, without fail, randomly turns off every half hour to 40 minutes. And I mean without fail. I'm constantly waking up 30 times a night boiling because it's turned off and for once it didn't do it. Then 10 minutes after I woke up, it turned itself off....what the hell. Evil I tell you.
Even more annoying that I didn't go out last night was a) everyone went out and had an awesome night and b) for once I was able to come into work at 12pm rather than 7:30am because we're quiet today and I'm closing. So totally could have had a lie in. Bloody air con and alarm. Anyway. I spent the day in the shop doing reading for my dive master. It was SO quiet, literally no one came in all day which really made the day drag.
When we finally finished at 6pm, we headed to the beach where a load of rich coast people were chilling out watching the sunset. Unfortunately we missed the sunset part but we stuck around for a few drinks before heading home. Standard laid back Sunday!
