In regards to clothes, main do Costa Ricans like their tight clothes, as much as I love their love of bright colours, clothes two sizes to small is a no no. Most of it was made from fabric cheaper then you get at primark and would not be good in hot weather. The other range of clothes was from imported shops like Zara and Tommy Hilfiger and was ridiculously expensive. I did run around Zara in a happy craze for a while almost squealing with joy at normal clothing. I wanted to buy so many jumpers but well, it's baking in most parts of the country.
I also need to learn that I should not take directions from anyone as they always send you the wrong way. I asked for a particular mall on the bus and they sent me to the wrong bus and then told me to get off at the wrong place. So helpful.
So two malls later and multiple shops later I had nada. I found tons of suitcases but the cheapest was $60!!!! For a cheaper, crappier suitcase then Argos would sell. Absolute joke. So apparently some things in Costa Rica are extremely expensive.
Don't judge me but I totally had McDonald's today, it's cheap and easy ok! Check out my photos for the more amusing parts of my day!
