Apparently my new wild sloth, aka the clinic sloth, is mental. Like actually insane. She is pretty aggressive in general but she outdid herself today. Even though she seems a bit out of sorts still she definitely isn't lacking in moodiness. She spends most of her time trying to bite me and at one point today I had to go into her enclosure and she was on the floor, right next to the door so I couldn't get in. Any time I even remotely touched her to try and move her she went mental and started attacking everything and trying to bite the crap out of the door. I eventually had to go and get a huge bear and literally push her back using it. This is basically 'The Snickers Technique' as this is usually what you have to do when you're looking after Snickers on the jungle gym.

Talking of baby time I finally got my little man Linus today, aka the cutest baby sloth ever. Sara nicely took tons of photos for us, which were great! Especially as they were on Missy's lovely Nikon camera. At one point he was licking me so much that when he pulled away there was a lovely spit trail ala Cruel Intentions! Funny but gross. Missy got to take out Oprah, who is literally the biggest ball of fluff ever. She didn't really want to climb but she did bite Missy when she wasn't looking and even nipped me when I was playing with her. She gets away with it though because she's so darn cute. We had to do baby time later as it rained for most of the morning, more mosquitoes yay!

During the mid morning hours a couple of things happened, Marcelo rocked up with a two finger skeleton that also had a whip tail scorpion in the box (which is actually a spider). It's amazing how similar so many sloth bones are to human bones, I can thank digging up skeletons at Pava over the summer for that knowledge! Another exciting thing was we got internet back! After all of the palaver over it and no one knowing what was wrong I sought out David who said it might need to be unplugged and plugged back in. Apparently this hadn't been done yet, d'oh! Ha. Nick and I went upstairs and did just that and tada! It was working. A day and a half without internet for something soooo simple. It's always the way.

I spent most of my afternoon running around like a crazy woman, mostly because my sloths like to make an absolute mess which takes forever to clean up, or won't move from the door for ages so I can't in, or today it was the aforementioned and the fact that three of my sloths had poo'd/wee'd which, as it was in the afternoon, meant that I had to clean it up. Not only that but one of the wild Bradypus' went on their platform that had reached across and impressive 3 cages and the other wild Brady had gone over the floor which had spread across 4 cages. Thanks guys! So yeah that took me a while to clean up.

As we were doing feeding time the lorry that delivers the veg etc came. It not only bought vegetables but 3 small children with it, we definitely didn't order them. Two of the boys just started wandering around the back, sticking there fingers in the cages and just wandering around all of the aisles where the enclosures are. I told them off half a dozen times as did Missy. I asked someone if they were meant to be here, and obviously they were it van but they certainly shouldn't have been swanning round the place unsupervised. Eventually their mother came with her daughter and they vanished off into the other sections, Sara asked them why they were there and apparently the mother just went 'ssh'! Sara also told them to leave and finally Claire came round the back, unfortunately on a tour and I sent her after them. Despite being told again, an older boy just took one of the others and started walking around the back despite me shouting at them! They eventually came back and started looking at the sloths but Claire saw and shouted them again. They were literally walking about like the owned the place even after they were told not to. It was so rude! I tried to get Steven, Ursula's son, to help me as I obviously don't speak tons of Spanish but he basically didn't see any problem with it. Claire obviously minded!

After work I did some stuff in the office upstairs, trying to send all the videos for the project and eventually just put them on Judy's computer manually. It was taking way too long. I spent the rest of the evening watching ridiculous YouTube videos with Jeff before giving up due to hellish mosquitoes. On the way home I randomly decided to look up into a tree and I saw a freaking wild two finger sloth! Yes I know I work with these everyday but I've never seen one in the wild before! I was so excited! That and the fact that the bitey, wild, machete sloth licked me today have been my absolute highlights. And time with Linus, of course :)
