I can't believe I have been here a week now, what the hell! It always seems to be going so slow and the vooom, it's over :( I should probably ask how long they want me doing this research project for because I honestly have no idea! Really enjoying it though and I ha got some gorgeous photos. Judy said they were really happy with my notes so far to, which is awesome as I had no idea if they were going to be what they wanted
In sloth news today, the sloth who got attacked by a machete can't move very well because her hands were also skinned and are now bandaged. So she basically ends up lying in her urine overnight or whenever she goes. She was literally soaked this morning and really smells so I ended up washing her with a towel. She's usually really bitey as she is a wild sloth but honestly put some food in front of her and you can do anything to her. She didn't care I was moving her about or brushing her hair with a towel. It was, thankfully, super easy. I didn't have a baby today as there aren't currently only 4 to go round at the moment. Claire doesn't want us to take the other 2 out at the moment because they are new in the nursery and really don't like being handled, then again neither does Snickers!
Today we have absolutely gorgeous, perfect Caribbean weather so a couple of us did some sunbathing, it is really hot though so that didn't last too long. I've told Jess that I'm going to have to stage a Snickers intervention with her because she keeps going through all her photos of him and saying she's going to blow up a picture of his nose and hang it over her bed! So funny. She'll definitely be missing him.
After work today we went on a short canoe ride and saw TONS of monkeys, usually I don't see anything because wild life apparently hates me but this time I broke my bad luck streak! And then I was incredibly lucky because I got to put the babies away tonight. Jeff usually does it every night but they were in Puerto Viejo for Ursula's birthday, so I got to do it. Very exciting :) All you really do is give them leaves and cover them up for the night but I also got Ubu out of his cage as he had urinated in it again (he has no bladder control). So I cleaned his cage out and then put them all away for the night. They're so cute. Jess and I went back and watched a film and that was it, another day over. I'm on my 8th day tomorrow. BOO.
Also in other news someone stole my yogurt. Not cool.
