Wow today has been ridiculously tiring. I only had a 45 minute break for lunch and I didn't finish till 5:10pm. I also had a pretty busy day as I was doing my standard sloth volunteer stuff as well as medicine, rounds with the vet, feeding the juveniles, sanding down cages and making lists for Judy of sloths who might need certain medicines which meant I had to go round all of the sections and check 110 sloths. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love all the responsibility I have at the moment but it is definitely knackering and by the end of the day I had a headache. Totally worth it though.

Marcelo came back today so we went through and revised all of the things I was doing with the sloths and he told me off for not putting some folders back. I was like uh, you left some of these and besides it's easier to just write in them everyday if they're out. Bloody cheek. He also kept calling me crazy for being there still at 5 but I can't exactly help it if I still had stuff to do.

The new volunteers are getting along pretty good, Daniella especially seems to be doing well. Kym can be a bit ott with it like this afternoon she went into a cage to feed the sloth and she was asleep. Instead of just putting the food down after giving the sloth a once over she spent 5 minutes trying to wake her up and feed her. So hopefully she'll relax into it and realise that just because a sloth is sleeping and ignoring you doesn't mean it's a serious problem!

I still think something is wrong with Pip, she's being way too quiet and still not eating loads. I'm making Marcelo give her a check up just in case. And my poor baby Gigia is bad again. He was ok in the morning but I noticed in the afternoon he'd been sleeping alot and didn't even register me coming into the cage, I therefore touched him which usually will make him snap at you. There was basically no response from him which was so odd. I tried to find Marcelo but he was gone. I went back in later when I'd finished all my other duties and he didn't even respond to me what so ever. I'd found Marcelo but he didn't check him over. Luckily I had told Judy who came and checked on him later. He was basically severely dehydrated again and had been moved upstairs. I went up to check on him where Judy was giving him fluids. I have never seen him look more adorable all wrapped up in towels. He looked so much younger being like that and he absolutely adores Judy, he was an angel for her. She even picked him up and gave him a cuddle, not gonna lie pretty jealous about that I'd love to give him a cuddle! I still get to look after him though which is awesome.

After all of the Gigia stuff I just chilled with the other volunteers. I have a feeling it's going to be another long day for me tomorrow again!
