Another day, another sloth problem. All of my sloths are acting a bit odd today. The ones who are usually super active have got all quiet and uninterested in there food, a basically unheard of thing. Two of them, Joy and Cosmo, I'm particularly worried about because they look not right and Joy is missing hair, poor things! They've probably got mange and are feeling very sorry for themselves. I'm going to talk to Marcelo tomorrow about it because as the day has gone on they don't seem any better.

Gigia apparently definitely has the same thing as Mobli the sloth who died. I spoke to Marcelo and we're going to talk to Judy about it and I'm going to suggest the idea about phoning round other zoos that have sloths. He's such a sweetheart so I want him to get better, plus if it is a virus they obviously need to find what's wrong and find a treatment. I'm actually feel awful thinking about anything bad happening to my crew, I've bonded with them so quickly.

I also had to collect sloth poo samples today for Claire as she's not here. Going above and beyond for my sloths ha, although honestly it wasn't that bad! We also had to sort through 6 boxes of leaves! They truly are the bane of a volunteers life!

Some good stuff happened today too, Pip's eye is apparently healed, I actually want to steal her she's so adorable and on another good note we released a wild sloth that had been here for a week back into the wild today which was pretty cool!

After work all of the volunteers went into Cahuita. Yvette, Christa (a new volunteer) and I went to the beach for a bit and after we met up with the others for drinks where they all got progressively drinker and more hilarious. Was definitely an entertaining evening!
