Had to get up ridiculously early this morning to get the 7am ferry back to La Ceiba. So at 5am I got up and finished some last minute packing whilst managing to crash around loudly with my normal 'Sarahness' waking everyone up. Sorry guys!

I'd organised the taxi with Marco who works at Coconut Tree and apparently he'd told the taxi guy I was going to the airport, despite the fact I'd specifically told him the port. Why do people
keep insisting on dropping me at the airport! There were also dogs everywhere most just chilling on the road not caring about the cars-kamikaze canines!
Got on the ferry which was super cold on the ferry, sometimes the air con is a blessing and a curse. I picked up my stuff on the other side, when I did this in Roatan last someone collected a handgun, lovely! This time it was a knife. I was literally then bundled into a taxi and dropped at a bus company where I bought ramen noddles and once again managed to spill it all over the same hand I burnt on the trip to Flores. So special.

Managed to score two seats all the way to San Pedro so tried to sleep as much as possible. Once we got to San Pedro I started chatting to a couple from Denmark who were also going to Copan. So went off together to get a bus where we were sent to the wrong one and then thrown on a different one. I'd told the guy we wanted time to go to the toilet etc but we had to get on the bus then. He then got the driver to make a personal stop for us, well just me as it turned out, so I could use the toilet and buy a coke!
It was pretty hot on the bus but I was kept entertained by all the sellers- including a desert type seller, I tried this biscuit with god knows what on it but it was actually really nice! There was also a man playing the pan flutes and a guitar and singing and a clown performing in Spanish. I think most of his jokes were about Americans but I wasn't really paying attention. You just wouldn't get this sort of thing in England!

We then had to transfer onto a small minivan which was pretty small but they managed to fit 22+ people on. People were actually stood standing squished in the 'aisle' by the door. It was insane, health and safety regulations definitely thrown out the window right there. I thought the old man next to me was nice to begin with but soon realised he was just another creepy old man/perv as he spent most of the trip looking down my top. I was also sat next to a young Honduran who was really sweet and kept moving up so I had more room and helped to try and find my phone when I dropped it. He did not spend the journey leering down at my chest either, and they say the older generation are more polite and have more manners, pish!

It then started heaving it down with rain. The conductor guy had put a rain cover on, but he apparently didn't do it very well as it kept flapping open on both sides. This doesn't bode well for my belongings even though it has a rain cover on. We eventually arrived and I was handed my bag. The back, where there is no rain cover, was soaked. I honestly don't know why the put the cover on, if you're not going to do it properly then don't bother even putting it on. We then got ripped off by a tuk tuk to take us to the hostel, arg!

As soon as I got in I checked the damage to the bag and was super happy to discover that despite the fact that it was soaked at the back it apparently hadn't got through the lining so most of my stuff wasn't wet! What had happened though was that my huge bottle of conditioner had exploded all over the top layer of my bag causing way more damage than the water!

It's quite nice and cool here which after Roatan is lovely! After dinner I went to bed and saw there were loads of dead bugs on my sheet as I was in the top bunk. Mmm. I checked for bedbugs and I really wasn't sure if there was any. So for the first time this trip I got out my sleeping bag liner to sleep in. Then just as I was about to bunker down, the couple who were staying in burst in saying that the Canadian girl next door had bed bugs! I said I wasn't sure about mine but I nicely went and checked everyones mattresses and couldn't see anything. The girl from the couple had all these bugs crawling on her bed so I looked up bed bugs online and I wasn't really sure if it was that. I also pointed out that the other people in the dorm would have noticed something by now and that Finn had recommended this place to me so I said I'm sure that they're just bugs. I mentioned something to the security guard though and he looked and thankfully told us that they were ants that came out when it rained! PHEW! Was really not in the mood to wash everything I own!

Doing a canopy tour/zipline tomorrow that Hannah M recommend to me, it better be good as it was bloody $45!
