Where I stayed
We arrived at our cottage that is about 15 minutes outside Plettenberg Bay last night around 5 pm.
It is a cute cottage (one of three) with shared pool. It's up in the foothills, away from the crazy hussle and bussle of the VERY busy beach resort town of Plettenberg Bay.
It's a self-cater accodation, so we were able to make a nice dinner and sit outside and enjoy the peace.
Next day (today) we got up and headed to the beach. It was nuts. People everywhere, HOT and big waves. The kids had a blast.
By 3 pm we'd had enough, so headed to the grocery store, grabbed some supplies and headed back to solitude. We had a swim in the pool, and will be making dinner soon. A BBQ (or braai as it is called here) on the porch.

I especially love the pictures of all the flowers. It will be interesting to find the names of all of them.
Except for not having any cash, which must have been a bit nerve wracking (but adds to the sense of the adventure), it sounds like you're having an amazing holiday! Definitely a trip you will all remember. Stay safe and look forward to more updates. Cheers - Anne
P.S. We are expecting snow on Thursday, just in time for Christmas, which will be nice, I guess, but I'd still rather be enjoying 30°C temperatures - Enjoy!
I've been following all of your updates and looking at all of your pictures. What beautiful sites! I looks and sounds like you are having a fabulous trip. Enjoy the rest! Merry Christmas! Michelle
We had a christmas greeting from Joy and John Hansen.
They are at HGV. They tell us Rob is living at Campbell River on Vancouver Island. I am living your holiday with you.GREAT,
Such lovely pictures. So happy that you are able to share them with us as you go along. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
