So far, the most confusing thing about planning my trip has been deciding how to carry my money. ATM's are plentiful throughout Thailand but I'll be charged a fee up to 3% for every withdrawal. I SHOULD be able to use my credit/debit card at the larger vendors but I'll need Thai currency (Thai Baht) to use at street markets, etc. And then, of course, there's traveller's cheques, which seem to me to be more trouble than their worth but I've never used them. The obvious advantage of traveller's cheques is that they can be replaced practically immediately if their lost or stolen.

As of today, 1.00 USD = 32.31 BAHT.

What does all this mean? I don't know! I've been sitting here for hours now trying to figure out how much Baht to order, how many traveller's cheques, etc. and it's not the first time I've tried to do it either! But I still have nothing.

As it gets closer to my departure date I feel like I can't tie up these finals details!!

I've only made one guesthouse reservation and that's all I plan to make. I plan to do everything else when I get there, at the protest of Terra, my parents and well, everyone! Since I'm arriving just after midnight I wanted to be sure I had a place to stay in Bangkok. I've booked the Greenhouse Guest House which was recommended by another traveller.
