Two big cycling days.

The first was out of Sunset Bay State Park. The route took a turn off 101 onto Seven Devil's Road. The Seven Devils....seven mighty hills to climb. The weather was probably the worst of the trip so far - heavy mist and cold. But no wind. Still, it was 20 miles until I could have a second breakfast (now the norm) so I'd a bit of work to do.

At home we've much 'softer' names - like the Conor Pass or Sally Gap - but here, what the name it is whatcha get. Seven Devils of hills. I dribbled into Bandon (!).

"Waitress, one stack of pancakes please!!"

I think they put rock fuel in the pancakes here coz after a stack (and, in fairness, waaaaaay to much coffee) the afternoon miles just seem to fly by. I've even been known to sing a song or two after brekkie 2....

Leaving Humbug Bay State Park (where the sun came out and the world was good), it was more misty riding. This time, a fuel stop in Gold Beach didn't hit the spot and the afternoon miles again dragged - all 61 miles to Brookings. Which is where I am now! This is the last stop before I get into California.

Weather: I hear the weather at home is great. Here, it's max 15 degrees during the day. Good cycling weather. Not good Mags weather! Apparently, even if you venture 10 miles inland it'll be blue skies. I think 101 brings me inland in CA - fine by me!

Must brush up on my Beach Boys!

I'm your girl - at the sing-song. If you want a rendition of my bike songs. Including such classics as 'The Alphabet' and the songbook of 'Mary Poppins'! Turns out they're the only songs I know in full.

Am available for weddings.
