I swear the Swedes are just making it up as they go along.
As for the Estonians....they have two official languages, Russian and Estonian. Estonian sounds Russian, even though it isn't, nor is it in Cyrrillic. But they'll speak Esonian, Russian or English depending on who they're talking to, so it's really easy to get around.
Latvian....is just crazy. Sort of latin alphabet, some words are a bit similar to Russian, but mostly not. Jst getting from the bus station to the train station and then finding my platform was a funky adventure.
