Christopher Robin went down with Alice ~ A. A. Milne
Buckingham Palace is the official London residence of the British monarchy, and I hear Queen Elizabeth doesn't like it very much, and uses any excuse to get away from it. Anyhow, Buckingham Palace wasn't open to the public when we were there so we only got to see the outside of it. I didn't see the changing of the guards, but heard from others of our party that did that one of the guards fainted in the heat. It was unseasonably hot in England when we were there (just my luck:() Anyhow, I did get to see the guards standing in front of the palace and a group of dressed up people wearing fancy hats who had just had tea at the palace. I guess they pay a great deal of money to have the privilege of doing that. If I ever go back to London, I want to go when the palace is open which I understand is at the end of July, August and September.
