Let me set the scene for you a bit. Mike and I are weary from a very full day of sightseeing and a very busy weekend. We are in sitting in the train station on the platform we believe our train will be arriving. We are a little cold, a little wet, very tired, and very relieved that we found a bench on which we could rest while waiting for our train. Mike and I chatted away, recounting our stories from the weekend that was now coming to a close.

That is when something happened that one would never expect in a calm city on the Baltic coast of Poland. An elderly, but large, woman apprached the bench we were sitting on and was shuffling about while Mike and I were talking. I did not pay her much attention as I was trying to get a good shot of the incoming train (see the photo album). After I popped off a few shots I turned to acknowledge the old lady and realized she was gone. As I looked down, I noticed she had left a small bundle of packages next to the bench. I immediately tuned to Mike and said, "Mike, that old lady just dropped off these boxes and booked it down the stairs." Without responding to my comment, Mike immediately snatched the packages up and heaved them across the tracks behind us and over a concrete wall. We both then began to run for cover just as we realized that the woman was now coming back up the stairs. Was she coming back to make sure the job was done? No! Being free of her cumbersome packages, she was now free to help her hobbled husband up the stairs to the train platform. Luckily, after Mike and I retrieved her battered packages from the other side of the wall, she was kind enough not to call the police.
