After a rainy day touring the former headquarters of the Teutonic Knights in Malbork, Poland, Mike and I were surveying the perimeter for some good photo ops. We decided that we needed to get a few pictures of us together, as we had been receiving criticism for a lack of human subjects in our photos. We did not run into anyone for several minutes, but eventually we came across a family of four. They appeared to be German and understood the world-standard hand signals we used to indicate that we wanted them to take our picture. So Mike and I struck our poses and waited for the volunteer photographer (the mom) to take our picture. She rapped off one shot and paused to look at it in the LCD on the back of the camera. She smiled and told us "eees goot, eees goot," as she handed the camera back to us. She and her family walked off in the opposite direction to where we were about to head. For the sake of quality control, I put the camera in review mode and checked out the picture she had taken..."eees goot, my ass!" The picture, which you may view in the photo album of this entry, was about as blurry as you can get. I guess when it comes to photographers, you get what you pay for...at least she did not take off with my camera like the guy in Warsaw (who G proceeded to pummel to within an inch of his life).
