My mom, was not quite too happy to hear that only two weeks before my trip I had not yet gotten my immunizations.  So... she urged me to call... THAT day!!  =P
It was probably a good thing she did because who knows how busy random immunization places get.  I called up and was able to get an appointment for the end of the week, 4 or 5 days later... I decided to it on the Friday because well, that's the only day I could do it.  It was finals weeks for my summer classes and I had a morning class.  I told my job that Thursday would be my last day, got the paperwork from the place, and arrived bright-eyed and bushy tailed for scary shots at noon.  I was afraid I would get lost, as I usually find myself doing, so I left an hour early giving myself an extra 15 minutes to find the place.  Happily the directions were pretty straightforward and I found it pretty easily.

I went in the woman took my in a few minutes after I got there, which I happily got there about 20 minutes early.  I thought it could take up to an hour, as that's what I was told.  I guess that was just as a safety precaution.   She took my into her office and went through a booklet that the office puts together for travelers.  It was all about China.  That was quite nice of them to do, and it made me feel a tad better about the $50 charge just for coming in.  She went through all of the different types of disease prevalent in China and then specifically in Beijing.  Explained what the symptoms were and gave me a list of the immunizations I should get.  It also had random traveler information like safe traveling, electricity conversions, size conversions, etc.

Happily there were just two immunizations: Hep A and Typhoid... and a recommendation to find out when my last Tetanus booster was and if more than 8 years ago get that done too.  She told me my arm would be sore for the next few hours to the next day.  I paid for the immunizations and was on my way.

I called Jess to say hi and see how far away Watertown was, but it turned out it was like an hour away from Syracuse so I just talked to her for awhile.  We talked for at least 2 hours.  After an hour in the parking lot I decided to just talk on speaker while I drove back to Oswego and she kept me company the whole way.  =)  I was nice to catch up, I haven't spoken to her all summer and most of last semester.

When I got back to Oswego, I went to Mary Walker because I knew they'd have a record of the Tetanus, and they did.  I had to get that in my other shoulder, and they gave me some Tylenol for the next day.  Umm... next day!?! my arms were sore for the next two and a half days.  It felt like I had gone to the gym and weight lifted more weight than I should have.  It didn't really hurt, but my arms were super sore.  It was kind of a surprise cause the first day I was fine and then after that it hit me for the next 2 days.  But all in all, I was quite happy to only needed three and not have to take Malaria pills or anything like that.

I went to the Lifestyles Center to say bye to everyone.  I said bye to Wadleigh since he was leaving from Oswego that night.  It was nice to get to say goodbye.  I can't believe he's going to Thailand, that's going to be just as awesome (although not quiteee as awesome) as going to China.  =P

After that I went to my house to... pack.  I hadn't packed at all yet and I was planning on leaving that afternoon.  But instead a bunch of people were going to the movies, so I met up with them to see Superbad.  I thought it would be terrible.... "super bad" if you will... and not bad in the good way... =P  But anyway, although it was very vulgar I was surprised at how much I laughed during the movie.  I actually thought it was... decent enough.  It exceeded my expectations with how much I thought I would like it.

Then I went back home, packed up my stuff, and piled it in the living room.  I talked with Andrew most of the night, until he passed out.  It was a nice last night in Oswego

My goal was to leave in the morning, but we all know I am NOT a morning person.  So around 11:30 in the morning my mom called asking if I left yet, so I decided... maybe I should.  I packed up my car, ran a few last minute errands, and was off back home by 1:30.
