Where I stayed

Flag of Ireland  , County Dublin,
Monday, June 9, 2008

Serena flew in from Scotland a few hours earlier than me so we made plans to meet somewhere in
the Dublin airport.... considering i've never been there before we
expected it to be interesting.  No problems though and the Dublin
adventure kicked off without a hitch.

Spent the day with Serena's Irish friend Tara, drinking Bulmers in a
park and walking around.  In order to avoid police interrogation,
we brown bagged the booze (yes, they do that here too... i love
similiar customs...mmmmmm ghettoness).

That night, Vin placed a bet on Italy to win in football (they lost
3-0. figures) and we headed to Flannery's.  When we got there,
there were 2 people.  30 minutes later.. packed to the brim.
Met many a drunk Irish and a few leprechauns.
This
bar was awesome.  The hospitable Irish made us feel right at home
by  buying us some guinness and  a  Mickey Finn shot
(whatever that is... it's green.... like.. uh.. leprechauns..)

The
nest day we went to the penninsula town of Howth, walked along the
piers and had a proper Fish and Chips right by the sea.
Awesome.  In the evening we hit up the Guinness Storehouse for
def. the best brewery experience I've ever encountered.

Right now we're off to Northen Ireland... PIcs to follow!
