Our flight to Saigon went as planned but this time it was on Vietnam Airlines to lose my luggage. Apparently they did not have enough space on the little plane from the island to Saigon and so they just left some luggage there. About 20 people were at the lost and found counter that shared the same fate. So again it was going without luggage for me, this time on the way home fortunately, so a bit less to carry around.
We placed Betty's bag at a locker room and had to pay 4 times the regular fee for it - some downsides of traveling with or being a westerner over there - and then went to the heart of Saigon for our last few hours. We visited the night market and had our last dinner close to the hotel where it all started.
All in all a great trip around Vietnam and to Cambodia, many thanks to my lovely little tourguide that planned, organized and improvised the whole trip!
