Last minute greetings from the "driveway dwellers" now relocated to sons place in Palm Beach with his canal frontage swimming pool etc and mates rates or should I say family contradeal as we are on babywatch with Belinda expecting her third child (our 5th grandchild) New Years Eve if not earlier.
It has been good to hear from many of you with all your plans for 2012 some like Greg and Margaret, Dee and Seb off to Africa others like us heading to Sale and then off to sunny Qld. Unfortunately the state is not living up to its name at present with some dull rainy days but it is never cold in fact quite pleasant.
DB has been busy gardening and making to do lists in between extended bouts on HIS new IPAD. I have been working and despite being busy I am enjoying the workplace as not many new faces and also some old ones who have joined staff whilst I was awaywith whom I have worked in other workplaces.
We have been saddened by our friends Ron and Gwens' loss of two sons in a matter of weeks and hope they can find some joy at Christmas with daughter Shelley. Also our thoughts will be with other fellow travellers/friends who are either themselves unwell or have sickness in the family.
We will also be thinking of the fun times we had volunteering with Blazeaid and our time spent at Brickhouse with Paul and Rebecca and the boys. A big hi also to Danny the pommie roustabout recovering from his badly broken leg and jhope you have a safe trip home.
Our Christmas will be a family affair on Christmas Eve - typical Oz style cold meal with everyone bringing some Christmas fair and the kids no doubt swimming in the pool. On Christmas Day we will divide our time between family and friends possibly indulge in another happy hour with our previous landlords Linda and Laurie and family in Tugun. (more room in the recycle bin now!!!)
I hope you like the family photos and our new "camp" spot.
Happy Christmas and a safe travelling New Year
Jan Dave and Oskar
