En-route to Sioux City, Iowa

The weather report gives us a routine wind report for today's ride; wind from the north 10 – 15 m.p.h. This will be another day of 400 mile plus day.  The route will be mostly via interstate.  The Titan is awake today, he blows us from the left and we keep a constant lean.  We lean for 208 miles non-stop.

I find a red pick-up truck riding a steady pace of 65-70 m.p.h.  They would move over and we would move over.  Trucks would pass by and the red pick-up truck remained steady.  This was alright with me.  This kept me on pace and gave me something to look at for almost 4 hours.

It appeared to be a young woman driving with an older man on the passenger side.  They soon accepted this V-shaped headlight in the rear view and we were joined for 200 miles.  I resisted the urge to go around.  I resisted the urge to speed on by and lean as we fought the Titan.  This ride was going to be all day, we needed to pace ourselves.  Bonnie was good but I needed to make the day.

We crossed the Missouri River more than once.  We seemed to parallel it.  Many rivers fed into the mighty Mo.  Everything upstream was dumping into it.  Hence the flash floods warnings. Bonnie needed fuel and my right butt check was screaming, "Get off me!"  Navi was indicating an intersection coming up and a Honda dealership at the next exit.  I prepared to for relief.  As I pulled down the exit ramp I gave a hardy wave goodbye to my road mate.  She waved just as emphatically.

Two more hours lay ahead. I get food and a tank full.  We get back on it and find the rest of the ride manageable.  I arrive in Sioux City, Iowa looking for the Hilton Garden Inn, Sioux City, Riverfront.  The GPS data was wrong and the Hilton Riverfront advises their location.  This was not enough and two  calls to the hotel emphasized by the river.
