After a simple breakfast, and wearing sturdy footwear, we used the connecting walkway to enter the Bellagio Hotel. This is a sprawling hotel but clearly still one of the elite hotels in LV.

We walked through the ornate decor and out onto Las Vegas Boulevard (the strip), and were surprised how even at 10am the temperature was in the high 90's F. We saw the famous fountain spectacle (see video clips 1 & 2)

In the increasing temperatures we made our North up the strip visiting grand hotels like Ceasar's Palace, The Venetian & the Mirage. Most had extensive shopping areas with posh names such as Louis Vuiton, Cartier & Tiffany's. It was now over 100 F, and we made our way to the Paris Hotel to pick up our car from Hertz. Again, lucky to receive an upgrade which meant our 11 day road trip would be a bit more comfortable.

We popped into the Premium Outlet Mall but left empty handed, then stopped by the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. The thermometer was now reading 111F!!

Back to the Vdara and whilst Lynne & girls went to see the Bellagio Fountains again, I prepared a simple ravioli supper which was quickly eaten before we changed to go to see Penn & Teller the magicians we all liked from a series of TV shows they had done in the UK recently.

What a FANTASTIC show, loved it all and then met them afterwards for a photo (see gallery)

After the show we drove back to the strip, and Lynne & girls jumped out to experience the strip buzz.

I did a bit of packing and after they got back it was 1:30 am before we were all asleep.
