Helena, a new artist-friend, invited us to overnight at her house for Easter weekend. It was the most unique and wonderful place I've ever slept. I'm entranced by the desert, and her home begs for a magazine shoot, because it is charming and beautiful no matter where your eye falls, decorated with her own creations and artifacts from her world travels.


She also was so full of life. "Vitality" is the word that best describes her active and empathic lifestyle. We enjoyed sharing a meal with her refined friend Barbara, who surprised us with the story she shared about working with Lynne Chaney when they were both younger women, thereby knowing our current U.S. Vice. Pres. Dick in his younger days. Sounded to me like he hasn't changed a lot.
