Finally, the date has arrived! I am leaving for my great journey. Check the photos from Dallas airport - I do look like a world traveler. Flight is on time, lots of goodbyes. I feel very excited and finally it downs on me that I will not be seeing Dallas for a whole year. We take off, fly over Lake Grapevine, Lake Louisville, then Lake Texoma. The last thing I see through the window is the Grand Pappy Marina, where I used to go sailing on board of Eagle. Then the land disappears in the clouds, and next thing I would see are the flat green fields of Holland.
