Scottsdale to Launceston, Melbourne
After a great nights rest at Anabel's in Scottsdale we headed out to the Bridestowe Estate lavender farm for breakfast and a look into the process involved in the production of lavender and associated products.
The end of the trip was at Cataract Gorge in Launceston where we took the chair lift over one end of the gorge and then proceeded to walk back over the mountain to enjoy the panoramic views at the other end where we crossed the swing bridge and headed for the airport and the return to Melbourne.
Having had thirty years between trips to Tasmania I found that the scenery had only become more scenic and the service and promotion of their state should act as a template for many countries and organisations trying to attract the tourist dollar as the only complaint I have is more time to enjoy what the state has to offer as well as not taking so long to return.
