My flight was delayed by 2.5 hours from Chicago, but I didn't really mind since I managed to get bumped up to first class on the trip! They needed someone travelling alone and asked if I wouldn't mind switching from coach. The flight attendants helped us pass the time by handing out warm mixed nuts, hot towels, and wine. When we did get off the ground, lunch was salmon with a side salad and a hot chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Not bad. I sat next to a pilot, who was very friendly, and we chatted almost the entire trip. Even with the delay, I still had 1.5 hours in Dallas, so I wasn't runshed when we arrived, which was nice. It was humorous to watch this short guy with pleated khakis and a bluetooth headset sprint down the terminal when we got there because his connection left in 15 minutes. They should turn that into some kind of spectator sport!
