Kelowna was the last stop on the official tour. And the first place that we were really warned about safety (don't wander around by yourself at night - particularly not if you're a girl ... pairs are fine, just not on your own!). It makes me wonder what they'd think if they ever made it to Streatham!
Kelowna is known for being on the banks of one of National Geographic's Top 10 Lakes of the World. This would probably mean more to us if it weren't for the fact that everything in the last week seems to have been the Most Something of Somewhere. I'm sure Canadians invent all these rankings so the tour guides have something different to say about each of the gazillion lakes/waterfalls/beautiful views that we seem to have passed. This particular lake (Okanagan??) is also home to Nessie's cousin - who is called something like Ogopogo and completely ignored the fact that we had come to visit.
