Let me start first of by just saying one small incy wincy thing about Christmas. (if I may)
Despite the obvious celebration of the birth of baby Jesus, its also the celebration of the myth that some fat oaf is about to break into your house by the chimney, scoff all your biscuits and pies, drink all the milk in the fridge and leave presents behind as some sort of compensation!

Now how the HELL do kids get by without some form of psychiatric help with this eh?! I mean, its once a year this 'Santa' bloke comes in (with the oldest getaway vehicle in the northern hemisphere 12 reindeer and a sleigh, THAT FLIES)! 10/10 fat man for originality.

But. In Australia they also celebrate Baby Jee, and Santa 'breaking and entering' BUT its also 30 degrees C over here. Where's the holy holly, the Christmas trees?! Where's the mince pies?! Where's the snow and the freezing weather we can all associate with hoping to spend two clear days in home scoffing the turkey and sleeping it off in front of Goldfinger on the telly.

I dunno. Christmas over here is very odd. Everyone has asked me - 'So maaate. Does it feel like Christmas'. I reply sometimes with complete disbelief talking back to sunburnt colleagues and friends 'OH YEAH! Sure it does, I'll just build a frigging snowman now eh'!

Ok. So me and a few Irish guys and girlies have met up at the Kangaroo Bakpak in Surry Hills to go out and celebrate Christmas and New Year in the clubs and bars of Sydders the grand old Oirish way. And, we're also going to be taking snaps of the New Years celebrations. SO WATCH THIS SPACE FOLKS. It might not be cold, but just to add authenticity, I've put my clothes in the freezer, shot a Galah for Christmas dinner and made a snowman out of shaved polystyrene.

Humbug.
