Today I was invited by Jenny to attend her Winston Churchill Fellowship Presentation at Old Government House in Sydney. All the Fellows from New South Wales State were presented with their medallions and it was a wonderful lunch followed by the Fellows giving a brief overview of their travels and what they had achieved.
I was introduced and received an applause from the Fellows which was really nice and Jenny, when she gave her speech, talked of the advantages of networking with Fellows from the countries they visited.
The President made time to talk to me and also sent his best wishes to our D.G.
The NSW branch has asked me for details to include in their newsletter of my fellowship which is really great.
I was honored to be part of Jennys' special day and look forward to my own presentation.
After the luncheon, we made our way to the river ferry and took a leisurely drive into Sydney Harbor for a first glimpse of the bridge and opera house.
Jenny mentioned that when I arrived in Sydney, we might walk the Bridge on a tour. I thought this would be lovely. Actually she has told me that we will be walking 7 bridges tomorrow instead of just one. That should be really nice and I am looking forward to that.
A great day today.
