Where I stayed
Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Harbourside, Indian Rocks Beach
I moved on from the conference and was recommended this hotel by my next visit. I must say it has been really good to have a 'day off' and sit down and recharge my batteries.
Late Friday evening, I spoke to some of the European delegates and we discussed setting up a European Branch of the IAI between us. This would be seperate from ENFSI and would be of benefit to the UK as well as the wider EU community.
Paul C is going to write to the IAI and we are going to move this forward.
Also I have access to application forms and am in the process of joining myself now I have Jean to stand as a member for my nomination. I will be putting details up at the NPIA Forensic Centre for students to join if they wish to do so.
If anyone reading is interested in joining, give me a while for my membership to get processed and I will be happy to nominate you.
Tomorrow I am off to see Kevin Louthridge and look around the research and training facilities they have at the National Forensic Science Technology Centre in Largo. I am being collected at 0900hrs and can't wait to see the much discussed (at conference) facilities.
For today, I am just resting up, watching the dolphins and bird life and dipping my toes in the ocean.
I am so tired but really happy. I made some really good friends at the conference and I also have lots of information to take back to the UK.
