I have to say that getting around Washington DC is really easy. After my initial concerns earlier I found a bus station just up the road from last nights hotel. It cost a little over a dollar to get to Union Station. The Metro is both easy to navigate and very cheap to travel on. It reminds me of our underground system - only much cleaner.

Dashed around today and made my first visit the monument to the fallen police officers. This is right next to the Law Courts.

The dashing did not last long as it is very hot here, more of a slow crawl after a while!

Then I wandered along the road to visit the Marian Koshland Centre which is sponsored by the International Academy of Science. I thought they had an exhibit on DNA but this has moved on. I know alot about global warming now though!!

Next to the Crime and Punishment Museum. A really good history of crime in the states. And then....I walked straght into the biggest CSI exhibition I have ever scene!

The CSI effect is clearly very apparent here. The exhibits were very good from a laymans point of view (see the photographs!). This is also where Americas' Most Wanted is filmed and I walked around the studio area.

Next a quick wander around the Lincoln Memorial, The White House and the various other Monuments that you have to see when in DC.

Tomorrow I am off to the Institute of Justice for my first official visit.

I also have to try and find an adaptor for my laptop as I forgot to bring mine. Doh!
