I received a telephone call yesterday afternoon from my works' Press and Publicity Officer informing me that the BBC Tees radio team had been in contact with him asking to do an interview with me about my travelling fellowship.

I agreed and this morning I spoke to the presenter live on air. How scarey was that? We talked about my work and the Churchill Trust. I managed to get into the interview some information about how to apply, the applicants that were successful this year from the North East and described the bredth and ages of this years successful 95.
Huge plug at the end for the WCT website and encouraging anyone to apply when the dates for applicants open on March 13th 2009. And I mean this most sincerely too.

The details that the WCT sent me in the post that I received yesterday really helped. There was even a press release document enclosed. How advantagious was that to my interview?

I also got a list of all this years fellows which was really great to have and even I am really surprised at the scope of the projects, people and subjects.

Right, time to go because there is a reporter coming from the Wear Valley Mercury this afternoon to interview me. Did I mention this was another gift from our Press Officer? Now where is my lipstick.....
