After our stop in Villers Bretonneux we headed to the Champagne region and the gorgeous, ancient and "cute as a button" village of Haute Villiers in the Epernay area. Each of the rows has a sign at the end signifying which maker owns the grapes, these are old and lovely signs lining the endless rows of vines. After all the soil in this region is the most coveted in the world and only grapes grown in the region can be truly called Champagne.
After eying many rows of very of grape vines, we headed to a cellar door and loaded up a whole lot more Champagne, its going to be flowing in Figline.
We then headed south on our way to Provence and the longest driving leg of our trip to get to the Southern jewel.
We stayed in Dijon overnight and are now finalising breakfast and ready to get on the road.
Today the hill towns of Provence will be on the agenda and a stay in my Favourite town St Remy De Provence tonight.
Wish us safe travels and chat soon.
