Hi everyone,

Today is Wednesday the 19th of May

We are at Byron Bay were staying at FirstSun holiday park right on the beach, we can see and hear the waves crashing from our beds - its so cool.

On the First day (the 14th of May) we spent the 2 hours driving to Newcastle we stayed at Swansea Gardens.it took 40 mins to set up the camper trailer

On Saturday the 15th of May we spent 4 hours driving in the car we stopped 3/4 of the way to have lunch at Taree after lunch we set off driving once again but this time we stopped at South West Rocks thats were we stayed the night, the caravan park had a giant JUMPING PILLOW (thats were Matthew and I stayed most of the time) it also had a tennis court on top of the toilet block a games room which had a xbox, play station, table tennis,and also a movie room.there were lots of kangaroos around!!!

On Sunday the 16th of May we went to the Trial Bay Goal (south west rocks)the walls of the Gaol was made out of pink granite the granite was carved by the convicts.The second part of the day is when we went on a rain forest walk I collected twigs and leaves for my collage.Then we went to Smoky Cape light house Captain Cook named it that because he saw smoke from Aboriginal fires when he sailed past.

On Monday the 17th of May we drove for 2 hours about 1/2 we got to the Big Banana!!!
At the Big Banana we saw how bananas grow  we also got a Banana ice-cream :):):) on the way back we saw a lolly shop under the Big Banana we bought banana lollies :):):)

On Wednesday the 19th of May we went to Byron Bay,  Dad and I went surfing we did not know that we were surfing in front of dolphins!!! At the end Matthew had a go of Dads Malibu surfboard on a few small waves!!!  The beach is amazing there is a ship wreck about 25 metres off the shore.
It has been raining on and off all day and we saw a beautiful rainbow just above the lighthouse

Matthew's Facts!!!

* I love jumping on the big jumping pillows.
* Cape Byron is the most Easterly point in Australia.
* Trial Bay goal is made out of pink granite and is local to Trial Bay.
* We are still in NSW
* Lighthouses are for ships to know that there is land or danger nearby.
* There are mirrors in the top of the lighthouse to make the light brighter so that ships can see them from far away.
* I had fun surfing.
* It takes 18months for Bananas to grow - they look weird and look like they are upside down.
* I like banana ice-cream.
