From the houseboat we drove down to stay with our Canadian relatives. They were called Midge and Lew R, Dad's second cousins who he had not met before. Midge and Lew's house was BEAUTIFUL I've never seen anything like it.It overlooked a lovely lake. Midge said that they had a porkupine in their garden and sometimes bears. Oliver loved the apple pie and ice cream so did I. Thank you very much for putting us up and looking after us so well. It was a lovely stop over after 3 nights on a boat.

Meeting the Canadian Rossners

Long drive to Calgary - the road was full of bikers on Harley Davidsons and other bikes as there was a huge motorcycle rally in Salmon Arm. The bikers looked great in their little tin hat helmets !

The big news - we finished listening to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on the long journey. You won't believe what happens at the end if you havent read or seen it already! Hopefully we will see the film while we are away.
