Today Elias left to drive back to Porto Seguro and I flew down to Curitiba.  Nothing too remarkable about the flight.  It was a little late, but that's to be expected here.  Then the cab ride took longer than it should have 'cuz I got a new cabbie.  And he didn't know how to find the hotel.

But once I got into Curitiba, this is one nice place.  I'm right in downtown, lots of good-looking restaurants and places to walk.  I wish Jacqui and I could spend some time here.  She'd be able to enjoy it a lot more I think.  Also, it's not quite as hot here as it is in Porto Seguro.  This is definately a place I could stay for a while and not get bored. (yes, it does get somewhat boring living on the beach if you don't have your own toys to enjoy it with).

This hotel is awesome though.  It has a rooftop pool.  Well, a top floor pool.  This pool isn't open at the top.  But it also has a squash court(that's new for me too) on the top floor.  The elevator is glass and rides up an open lobby.  AND MY ROOM HAS TWO FLOORS WITH A SPIRAL STAIRCASE!!!  That's the coolest part for me.  The room total is probably normal sized.  But it's so much cooler when you get your own spiral staircase.  This room also has a real kitchenette, with stove, oven, microwave, fridge, and sink.  The bathroom is kinda blah, but they have signs up saying that they're undergoing renovations.  I would definately bring Jacqui here for an extended stay.
