I did my 2nd coop with McAbee Construction down in Tuscaloosa doing pressure vessel design and drafting work. I was having a hell of a time trying to find a company that would accept a co-op for only 3 months. But Jacqui's dad got my name in front of the bosses at McAbee. He had worked with them before.

Then once I got there, it was a whole new challenge trying to find an apartment for just 3 months. I ended up having to do a month to month lease at this downtrodden apartment building. It was converted from a motel to apartments by putting a large refrigerator and a microwave into the rooms. But other than that, you couldn't tell it wasn't a motel anymore. Another note: Borax works amazingly well to keep cockroaches and spiders at bay.
